GIS Specialist –
Custer Public Power District currently has an opening for a GIS Specialist. The GIS Specialist position will maintain and monitor CPPD’s Geographical Information System (GIS). This position will operate out of the Broken Bow Office and will report to the Engineering Supervisor. Some system-wide field work will be required to obtain and coordinate mapping data and physical plant inventory to ensure CPPD maps are current.
The GIS Specialist is to maintain and monitor all information systems, ensure proper protocol and integration and analyze the data processing requirements to design a system that will provide for efficient operation that is consistent with the goals and objectives of CPPD. The position will also back up the IT Specialist and AMR Database Administrator.
High school diploma or GED is required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is highly desirable. Knowledge of line construction and design is highly desirable. ESRI knowledge and experience will be helpful.
