We currently have an opening for an Engineering Assistant. Because of the varied job duties and requirements that evolved over the years, several duties have been reassigned. This position will operate out of Broken Bow under the Field Engineer.
The Engineering Assistant is to provide assistance to the Field Engineer to ensure customer service and accurate record-keeping.
Primary duty will involve typical office functions. Office scenario requires operation of the Microsoft Office suite coupled with the Business System software or any other software package in use. Ability to read, write and understand English well. Requires concentration, analytical problem solving skills, discretion, initiative and knowledge of company policies and routines.
High school diploma or GED is required. Accounting and clerical experience helpful.

We currently have an opening for an Operations Manager. This position is available due to the planned retirement of Tom Knott.
The Operations Manager represents CPPD to our customers. The position is responsible for the daily operations of the district. This includes coordination and directing the area and maintenance crews, and all associated paperwork. Considerable care is required to ensure accurate district records. Work must be prepared promptly and deadlines met. Considerable customer contact is required as well as the ability to appropriately identify, solve and respond to their needs. The work requires math skills as well as concentration, analytical and problem solving skills, independent judgment, discretion, initiative and considerable knowledge of company policies and routines.
The qualified applicant will possess leadership and supervisory skills including but not limited to budgetary control, supervision, delegation, evaluation and employee discipline and documentation.
A high school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree in related field desirable. Ten years’ experience in the maintenance and operation of electric transmission and distribution systems and substations will be equivalent of college degree.
Location is the Broken Bow office and extensive field work. Some irregular hours are required. These may include nights, weekends, and emergencies. Travel required both in and outside the system.
