The position is responsible for the daily operations of the district. This includes coordination and directing the area and maintenance crews, and all associated paperwork. Considerable care is required to ensure accurate district records. Work must be prepared promptly and deadlines met. Considerable customer contact is required as well as the ability to appropriately identify, solve and respond to their needs. The work requires math skills as well as concentration, analytical and problem solving skills, independent judgment, discretion, initiative and considerable knowledge of company policies and routines.
The qualified applicant will possess leadership and supervisory skills including but not limited to budgetary control, supervision, delegation, evaluation and employee discipline and documentation.
A high school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree in related field desirable. Ten years’ experience in the maintenance and operation of electric transmission and distribution systems and substations will be equivalent of college degree.
Location is the Broken Bow office and extensive field work. Some irregular hours are required. These may include nights, weekends, and emergencies. Travel required both in and outside the system.
